Where Are They Now: Mac

Mac - Shell Shocked Album Cover

Mackinley Phipps, better known as Mac, dropped two classic albums and was one of the few No Limit soldiers to stick around into the 2000s. He was featured on the 504 Boyz hit “Wobble Wobble” in 2000. Unfortunately, his career came to a screeching halt in 2001 when he was convicted of manslaughter and sentenced to 30 years in prison. Like C-Murder, the Camouflaged Assassin has maintained his innocence, and, also like C, he has an episode on “Reasonable Doubt” detailing his situation. It’s Season 1, Episode 1, and there’s evidence that basically proves he wasn’t the shooter. It’s a must-see for any No Limit fan.

Mac was released in June 2021 after serving 20 years. He’s since released an album titled “Son of the City” in 2022 and made guest appearances at several reunion tour stops.
